Surface Series
“SURFACE” is a filmproject with 4 episodes created by dance artist Amie Mbye and filmmaker and director Modou Anta Diongue. The project was created and filmed in Dakar, Senegal 2019.
Through movement, film and music, Amie travels through a landscape of different scenarios, in an attempt of exploring, questioning and accepting the different layers dance artist Amie Mbye carries as a - black, muslim, woman born and raised in Norway with origins from Gambia.
